That's Us Presents: How To...

Save money on your next design!

Are you ever surprised at the price tag included on design project estimates or on your final invoices? At That's Us, we don't think customers should have to deal with sticker shock when it comes to purchasing effective solutions. That's why our creative department has come up with valuable money-saving tips to help you save on your next design:

1. Have a plan

Part of the challenge in creating effective solutions is gaining a full understanding of your project needs and ideas as valued customers. We aim to please, and usually if you can spend some time planning out your project beforehand, you'll provide us with a better idea of what we're aiming at. The less time we have to try to read your mind, the less costs you'll incur during the proposal process.

2. It's about time

We know you want your project as soon as possible. That's Us production department generally has a project turnaround of 15-25 business days, depending on project size and scope. If you would like your project completed sooner, we can usually accomodate you by implementing a rush charge (+25%). Speak to one of our representatives for current production turnaround and to see if we can accommodate a project rush.

3. Stick to the plan

We want you to get what you want, so we don't prohibit you from making changes. That's why most project proposals include a rounds of changes at key time points in your project's production. Changes which alter the scope of your project will also have an affect on project costs and the timeframe for your projects completion.

4. Speak up

Don't be afraid to ask questions, make suggestions, or tell us something isn't right! Your feedback before, during, and after your project's production can help ensure that you're getting the most for your money. We want you to be involved in your project from planning, to production, to completion! Plus, by providing us with important feedback, you'll gain access to our Service Guarantee.

5. Check your server

If your project is a website or web application and you will be using your own hosting server, we will have specific server requirements to ensure your project works correctly. Additional costs may be incurred if your server does not meet these requirements. If applicable, server requirements will be included in your project proposal.

6. Text and images

Most projects will require you to provide us with any text or specific photographs and images you want included in your project. You can avoid copywriting and additional charges by providing all text in document form (such as .doc, .txt, .html), photography in .jpg or .psd format, and logos in vector format (.ai, .eps). Speak to a representative if you are unsure of file types.
